Jazeker Paul, het boek van Conway. Ik zou graag de softwaren willen testen maar de soucecode roept een aantal problemen op.Kun je me verder helpen?

Is het boek waarnaar je verwijst, van Conway, een aanrader ?

Het boek van Conway geeft een aantal gemechaniseerde handelssystemen voor het handelen in aandelen. De systemen zijn afzonderlijk te gebruiken maar ook als totaalpakket. Het boek legt helder de basisprincipes en de architectuur van de systemen uit.Tot slot krijg je zelfs de broncode in easylanguage. Maar daar doen zich dus een paar problemen voor. Verder is het boek een aanrader voor iedereen die mechanisch wil traden in aandelen.

Ik weet niet of het bijdraagt ? ( zie maar wat je ermee doet )

persoonlijk ben ik een groot voorstander van boeken, en er moet echt negatief over een boek gedaan worden wil ik het niet kopen.

ik ga altijd als volgt te werk als er een boek ter sprake komt:
1)copieer de titel van het boek.
2)ga naar www.addall.com
3)plak de titel in het zoekvenster ( stel ??nmalig in waar je woont ) en hit search.
de site gaat nu voor jou op zoek naar het boek
4) als hij hem vindt click je op de link en wordt er een tweede search gedaan die berekent hoeveel het kost om het boek tot bij je op de deur te leveren.
( bedenk wel dat de shipping cost een aanzienlijk deel uitmaakt van de prijs van het boek en dat dit de enige manier is om boeken te vergelijken -- met shipping cost --)

als je die informatie hebt vindt je op resultaten pagina ook het isbn nummer van het boek.
5) kopier de isbn nummer.
6) ga naar www.amazon.com
7) plak de isbn nummer in het search venster van amazon zelf ( op de amazon site )
als je goed hebt 'geplakt' komt nu de pagina van amazon op het scherm die het desbetreffende boek aanprijst/bespreekt.
9) scroll nu naar beneden .... daar staan meestal de readers comments ?

10) lees ze en 'make up your mind'

onderstaand commentaar komt van amazon en is voor mij reden het boek niet te kopen.

Don't be fooled. The code is worth nothing. If you want examples of Tradestation code go to their web site and get it for free. If you want concepts upon which to build WINNING systems, don't look here. Nothing in the book has any basis in fact. No proof is offered that it does. I am sick and tired of authors pulling code out their ear to curve fit a line to 50 bars of data and calling it a system and selling it. This book is a prime example of that kind of nonsense. Enough is enough.

Many book advertisements include experts from the book that are supposed to have particular meaning. Here is an excerpt from page 19 paragraph 3 of this book that I thought was quite meaningful. The author is referring to the Acme systems which are the basis of the book: "Each of the Acme systems has a historical edge and a decent profit factor, but the best trading systems are in the hands of the people making money with them. We have enhanced the Acme systems as a departure point for systems with better profit factors." For those of you who don't get it, the systems in the book have been enhanced to not work. To add insult to injury the book does not include a disk with the substantial amount of code that is in the book. However if you go to the authors web site you will find an opportunity to spend more money for a CD with the code he has already told you is worthless. You will also have an opportunity to spend more money for a system that they say works. Again, no proof is offered and I find that absolutely insulting.
Here are some other tips for you: buy Van Tharp's book called Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom and live by it. Scrap Tradestation and buy Wealthlab. If you simply MUST spend your money on unsubstantiated balony send me a check and I'll send you a certified letter stating I am Jesus Christ by return mail.
